General  Lesson Information
Piano lessons are offered in a variety of time increments. Lessons are comprehensive, structured, and cover many facets of piano study beyond learning the notes of pieces.  Theory, sight-reading, technique, and musicality are incorporated into lessons to develop a well-rounded pianist.

Each student is unique and lessons are tailored specifically to fit the desires, needs, and learning styles of each student. Christine is a classically trained pianist and very open to teaching supplementary material including Disney, pop, jazz, and Christmas music as each student desires to keep them interested and engaged. There is a significant amount of time put into the thought of what materials to use for each student to bring out the most potential and enjoyment.

Lessons are offered for children beginning at 3 years old, teens, and adults.

Lesson Location and Pricing
Virtual lessons are offered.   Please inquire for pricing.

In-person lessons are offered in the studio or your home.  Availability and pricing are dependent upon the location of the lesson.

Preschoolers
Young preschool-aged children will begin with a method series for their age group called Music for Little Mozart's or another comparable method series. They will start learning to read notes in the second book of this 4-book series.

Beginners
Beginners will typically start with method books which include theory, technique, sight-reading, and a lesson book.  Classical pieces are introduced early and prior to the intermediate level.

Intermediate
Intermediate level students will sometimes continue with a method series and work on classical pieces as well or they sometimes choose to only do classical pieces. Their study will continue to include theory, technique, sight-reading, and learning a variety of pieces to broaden their skill level.

Advanced
Advanced students will usually focus on classical music and continue to expand their skills by learning etudes and going over essential techniques. They will learn a variety of different types of classical pieces such as a waltz, sonata, variations, inventions, preludes, and fugues as well as others. That way, they will understand how to approach and interpret each type of piece and will be able to learn these themselves as they go into adulthood.

Adults
After the initial meeting, a lesson will be planned out to fit your goals. Adults do learn the concepts quickly and the progress is quick.

Performance Opportunities
There are studio performance classes and two recitals each year.  One in the spring and one in the fall.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in evaluations through several music associations as well as festivals, competitions, and other recitals.

Please contact Christine for more information regarding lessons.
